Cancellation Policy
All appointments scheduled must be cancelled or rescheduled with 24-hours notice to avoid being charged for the session. All cancellations are subject to a fee of 50% of the session cost regardless of the length of the session.
There is some flexibility in this policy for emergency situations but remember a scheduled appointment is time reserved especially for you. And usually if you cancel at the last minute the reserved spot can not be rescheduled.
Sessions that are "No Show" with no notice of cancellation are charged the full amount of the session. Cancellation Fees must be paid before another session is scheduled. And once a session is missed, I may request that pre-payment be made prior to the start of any session.
When you must cancel, please give me at least 24 hours notice. I am rarely able to fill a cancelled session unless I know at least 24 hours in advance. In you are unable to provide at least 24 hours notice when you cancel, you will be charged the full fee for your session unless I am able to fill it with another client.
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be charged for the appointment.
Suggested script for taking credit card number
I have an amazing office manager who screens all new client inquiries, informs them of how to access new client paperwork, takes down the credit card number and explains our financial policies Here’s an example of what she says.
Yes, Julie has an opening next Wed. at 3:00PM. In order to confirm that appointment with Julie we require a credit card number on hold. You will not be charged until the time of service and you’re free to use another form of payment at your session. What type of card would you like to use?
If for any reason you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time please give us at least 24 hours notice of cancellation or we will charge your credit card for the full session amount. Do you have any questions?
